Allah is As-shafi
"We will surely show them signs in the horizons and within themselves, so that they may ascertain and recognise the truth" Qur’an 41:53
One of the signs of a true believer is recognising the signs of Allah and believing in them with strong conviction.
A true Muslim recognises the signs of Allah from what they see and experience within their environment. They draw lessons from these signs and connect them to their heart and Iman.
"We will surely show them signs in the horizons and within themselves, so that they may ascertain and recognise the truth".
Fussilat - 41:53
Ibn Kathir RH commented regarding the verse:
“It may also be that what is meant here is man and his physical composition. As detailed in the science of anatomy, which indicates the wisdom of the Creator -- may He be blessed and exalted -- and the different inclinations and opposite natures that people have, good and bad, etc., and the (divine) decrees to which man is subjected, having no power to change and over which he has no control.”
Covid19 is still around but we can't deny the fact that things are beginning to get back to how they used to be.
Surely, this is from amongst the signs of Allah.
إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرًا
"Verily, along every hardship comes relief"
Ash-Sharh - 94:6
Ibn Kathir commented:
“Meaning, whatever troubles are encountered by the creation, Allah always provides a relief with it. The relief does not merely comes after the difficulty, it is provided with it.”
Allah is As-Shafi, the one who grants cure.
We are in a society that is driven by science and technology. We often tend to disconnect from Allah whenever we think about Illness and cure.
When you look through the Qur'an and verses Allah speaks about illness and cure, you will always find that Allah always connect cure to Himself.
When you experience pain or become ill, the first thing it should remind you of is the power of Allah.
Ask Allah to cure you by turning to Him, making dua and seeking His forgiveness.
When you take medication or vaccine, always remember that the power behind them to cure and heal you lies in Allah.
The Prophet connect the illness and cure back to the name of Allah, As-shafi.
When our iman doesn't connect the means to the One who gives power to those means, then our trust in Allah becomes weak. We don't rely upon Allah as much as we should and it becomes a bigger problem.
As our iman becomes weaker and connection with Allah becomes distant, the ability to make these connections becomes harder for us even when Allah has given us these massive signs.
We should put more trust in the One that gives power to those means.
It is Halal to take medications and seek medical attention but we should always recognise that it is Allah that grant cure, it is Allah that grants good health and it is Allah that controls life and death.
Shaitan makes us disconnect from signs of Allah. As true believers, we are able to recognise the signs of Allah around us and connect them to our heart and Iman.
